People's Republic of China was the international partner of the Forum this year. At present, cooperation between Russia and China has reached its historic peak and involves many areas. Partnership in the field of nuclear energy is of enormous importance, it has been developing for almost 20 years already. Based on Russian technical design, 2 nuclear units of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant have been built and commissioned; construction of the second stage has commenced.

Currently the Chinese nuclear industry is in the phase of new facilities active construction and existing nuclear facilities maintenance. A lot of attention is given to efficiency, safety and reliability of those assets. Vast experience and proven technologies in this area can be found in Russia – the country with a long history of nuclear industry, where the first-in-the-world nuclear power plant was started in Obninsk in 1954. In particular, Group of companies NEOLANT also can offer internationally recognized solutions for nuclear industry.

The NEOLANT exhibition stand was visited by a representative of the Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC) – Mr. Wang Jianyu, Science & Technology Management Office Branch Director. JNPC is the operator of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant and a business entity of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). Mr. Wang Jianyu showed special interest in technologies developed by NEOLANT for nuclear facilities construction, operation and maintenance:

  • 4D-6D information modeling;
  • as-built plant information models;
  • internet portals to support facilities construction management;
  • RAW (radioactive waste) and SNF (spent nuclear fuel) management information support;
  • computer-based simulators and training tools based on 3D models.

Russian companies showed lively interest in the NEOLANT stand as well. Representatives of industrial plants focused their attention on InterBridge – a cross-platform CAD and PLM data translation technology; public service employees were attracted by the regional geoinformation system for land-use planning (RGIS TP) which is intended to support urban design and development management.
